ADA M. BARNES, 84 OF State College died 10/14/2013 at the Fairways at Brookline.
Born 04/30/1929 in New Enterprise, the daughter of Mearl and Lillian (Koontz) King. Married Sherman D. Barnes on 08/09/1946 who died in 12/12/1971 She was a member of the German Seventy Day Baptist Church. She was employed as a secretary and sales rep. for Dibert Mobile Homes and retired from Penn State Mobile Homes after 40 years of service. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, crocheting and traveling, she had eight years at the Patton TWP Planning Commission, ten years with the Sign review board at Patton TWP and four years at the Park and Recreation Board.
Survivors: one Son Terry A. Barnes and wife Diane of Port Matilda, one brother Richard King of York Pa two grandchildren Jeffery and Lora Barnes Preceded in death by two sisters Florence Shaffer and Jean Boyd and two brothers Arthur King and Donald King.
A Memorial service will be held Friday the 25th at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home at 11am Interment in the Bedford Memorial Park Bedford Pa. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury PA
