Alice Doreen Fyock, 85, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away, Wednesday afternoon, February 10, 2021 at The Village.

She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Harry G. and Elva F. (Young) Fyock.

Doreen was preceded in death on October 28, 2017 by her long time companion and best friend, Ruth E. Creps.

She was a longtime elementary school teacher in the Cove, teaching at Roaring Spring, East Freedom and Benson schools. Following retirement, Doreen worked as a substitute teacher at the Northern Bedford County Elementary School.

Doreen loved spending time at her cottage at Raystown and enjoyed fishing and hunting. She served as a Sunday school teacher and played piano for her church and at the Graystone for many years.

Her students were her life. Doreen kept a picture of every class she ever taught and always enjoyed chatting with her former students. She taught two generations of students, parents as well as their children.

At the request of the deceased there will be no services.  A private burial will be held at Diehl’s Crossroads Cemetery, rural Martinsburg.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
