Alice Marie (Swartz) Wachter

Alice Marie (Swartz) Wachter, 85, of New Enterprise, passed away on October 24, 2022 at the Village at Morrisons Cove. She was born on November 28, 1936 in Bloomfield Township; daughter of the late Chester E. and Mary (Ulery) Swartz.

On August 30, 1956 in New Enterprise, she was united in marriage to Joseph F. Wachter, IV; he preceded her in death on July 17, 2022.

Alice worked many years as bookkeeper and office manager for Kilcoin Concrete Products in Bedford. She was a member of the Koontz Church of the Brethren and loved reading, cooking, and baking.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; daughter, Teresa Wachter; and 7 siblings. Surviving is son, Joseph F. Wachter, V (wife, Chris) of Chambersburg; daughter, Lisa Parfitt (husband, John) of Sanford, FL; sister, Josephine Brayfield (husband, Greg) of Georgia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for both Joseph and Alice will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Burger Cemetery in Salemville; start time is 11:00AM.

If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Alice’s name can be made to the Village at Morrisons Cove Benevolent Fund.
