Anna Marie (Ebersole) Bechtel

Anna Marie Bechtel, 89, of Martinsburg, passed away on August 13, 2019 at Homewood in Martinsburg. She was born on December 11, 1929 in Blair County, daughter of Jacob and Savina (Steward) Ebersole. Anna was preceded in death by her first husband David D. Slagenweit; second husband Elwood Bechtel; and a daughter, Doris Marie Swope. She was an active member of the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church. She worked and later volunteered at the Village at Morrisons Cove. Surviving are daughter Patricia Ann Smith of Enterprise, Alabama; daughter Faye Jean Keller of Martinsburg; as well as six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Friday August 16th from10:00 -11:00AM with an 11:00AM service by Pastor Michael Able. All of the above will be held at the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Anna’s memory can be made to the Martinsburg Brethren in Christ Church or the Village at Morrisons Cove.
