Arlene F. Kagarise

Arlene F. Kagarise, 89, of New Enterprise, passed away on January 17, 2024 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center – Roaring Spring. She was born on January 14, 1935 at home; daughter of the late Edwin C. and Grace E. (Eshelman) Fletcher. On August 28, 1955 in New Enterprise, she was united in marriage to Orlo W. Kagarise; he preceded her in death on July 12, 2004.

Arlene was a member of the Bell Seventh Day Baptist Church and the Southern Cove Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed church bible studies, reading, and tending to her flower beds.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Orlo; and siblings, Larry Fletcher, Edwin “Ted” Fletcher, Barbara Fletcher, and Sharon Watkins. Surviving are daughter, Jada T. Kagarise of Alum Bank; son, Brian K. Kagarise (Deb) of Hummelstown; grandchildren, Tracy Carver, Tanya Darrow, Daniel Kagarise, Jennifer Roberts, and Evan Kagarise; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Gavin, Jackson, Luke, and Sterling.

Friends will be received on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1:00PM until the 2:00PM Funeral Service; Pastor Darwin Steele officiating. All of the above will be held at the Bell Seventh Day Baptist Church – Salemville. Interment will be in Salemville Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of Nason Hospital and Arlene’s neighbors for their help and care.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Arlene’s name can be made to the Bell Seventh Day Baptist Church.
