Audrey L. Kensinger

Audrey L. (Shriner) Kensinger, 83, a resident of Hilltop Rehab Center in Altoona, formerly of the Cove area, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2026. She was born on March 11, 1942, in Martinsburg, a daughter of the late Clair and Mabel (Bowser) Shriner. On March 11, 1961, she married the love of her life, Daniel S. Kensinger, sharing 64 wonderful years of marriage together. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Shriner; her grandson, Thomas Kensinger; and her great-grandson, Bryant Summers. She is survived by her loving husband; four children, Debra (Gregory) Neitzel, Brian (Kathy Rhodes), Julie, and George; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life.

Audrey was a devoted member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and was formerly employed by JCPenney in Altoona. She enjoyed sewing, camping, gardening, and long Sunday drives, but above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends.

Friends will be received on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at the St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 115 E. Penn St., Martinsburg, with Pastor Traci Marriott officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Audrey’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, or St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 115 E. Penn St., Martinsburg, Pa 16662.
