Belinda S. (Smuda) Leach

Belinda S. Leach, 66, of James Creek, passed away on August 4, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on January 26, 1958 in Roaring Spring; daughter of the late Conrad and Telethia (Bair) Smuda. On October 25, 1975 in New Enterprise, she was united in marriage to Darryl Leach, who survives.

Belinda was a Class of 1975 graduate of Tussey Mountain High School and held a degree from the Altoona School of Commerce. She enjoyed cats, dogs, and animals in general, talking online with her friends, and the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Belinda was preceded in death by a nephew, Joseph Sergeant. Surviving is her husband, Darryl Leach; daughters, Mandi Sosak and Amber Leach; son, Jeffrey Oakes; grandchildren, Isaiah, Alayna, and Claire; brothers, Roy Smuda (Ruth) and Ed Smuda (Peggy); and sister, Constance Bowens (Donald).

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 11:00AM at the Holsinger Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Belinda’s name can be made to your local Humane Society.
