Bertha L. Glass, 93, rural Williamsburg passed away Thursday morning at her residence.

She was born in Oreminea, rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late Arthur C. and Esther O. (McElroy) McGregor. On March 3, 1945 she married Charles F. "Joe" Glass in Hollidaysburg. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1991.

Surviving are 2 sons: Franklin E. Glass (Susan) of Blairsville and John F. Glass of Williamsburg; 4 daughters: Donna L. Glass of Claysburg, A. Arlene McCall (Robert), Mary M. Kensinger (Garry) and Vicki J. Hanna (Troy) all of Williamsburg; a son-in-law, Gordon Gunnett of Williamsburg; a daughter-in-law Linda Noland of Pleasant City, OH; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and a step-sister, Francis L. McCulloch of Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice L. Gunnett, a son Lloyd N. Noland; a great-granddaughter, Angela L. Detwiler; a sister, Viola McGregor; a step-sister, Patricia Miller and a special friend, Bernadine Isenberg.

Bertha attended Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg and was a longtime, active member of the Mines United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg.

She retired as a packer from U.S. Envelope, Williamsburg with 20 years of service and had also worked at Cove Shoe Factory, Martinsburg.

Bertha loved her church, spending time with her family and also enjoyed cooking, baking cookies with her grandchildren and reading her bible and Amish books.

Friends will be received from 2-5pm, Sunday, February 5, 2017 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Monday, February 6, 2017 at Mines United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg, Pastor Vaughn R. Kanagy officiating. Interment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Mines United Methodist Church, 568 Mines Lane, Williamsburg, PA 16693 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
