Bertrice A. (Aurand) Hickman

Bertrice A. Hickman, 83, of Roaring Spring, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away on July 11, 2017 at home. Born on April 3, 1934 in Lewistown, the daughter of the late H.F. and Sara E. (Huffnagle) Aurand. In July of 1955 in Las Vegas, Nevada, she married Robert W. Hickman who survives. Bertrice graduated from Derry Township High School in Yeagertown, PA as Valedictorian. She then attended and graduated from Susquehanna University. Above all, Bertrice loved her family. Surviving is her husband Robert; daughter Debbie A. Banks (Clair) of Roaring Spring; Grandchildren Angela Yorke (Josiah) and Mark W. Banks (Ashley Shunk); and one great-grandchild Oliver D. Yorke. She was preceded in death by sisters Lois Majestic and Mary Swartzell as well as an infant brother H. Dale Aurand. Friends will be received on Monday, July 17th from 10:00AM-11:00AM. At 11:00AM a funeral service will commence with Pastor Rachel Pletcher officiating. All of the above will be held at Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Martinsburg.
