Betty B. (Carper) Over "Meme"

Betty B. (Carper) Over, “MeMe”, 96, of Woodbury, passed away on January 12, 2023. She was born on May 2, 1926 in Woodbury Township; daughter of the late William H. and Kathryn G. (Smith) Carper. On January 22, 1946 at the Reformed Church in Martinsburg, she was united in marriage to Kelly Alton Over; he preceded her in death on April 23, 2010.

Betty was a graduate of the Woodbury High School Class of 1945. She was employed as bookkeeper at Farm Bureau in Curryville. Betty was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren where she was active in Choir and the Women’s Fellowship. She enjoyed beach vacations, flowers, and collecting bears. Betty was a member of the Woodbury Senior Citizens and the Northern Bedford Women’s Club.

Surviving is sons, Stephen K. Over (Cheryl) of Woodbury and Richard J. Over of Bridgewater, VA; daughters, Cindy S. Appleman (Dick) and Lyniece J. Culp (Stephen) both of Woodbury; grandchildren, Kelly, Rebecca, Heather, Jessica, Brandon, Nicole, Ashley, Megan, Jaren, Michael, and Daniel; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 9:00AM until the 11:00AM funeral service at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren; Pastor David Ulm and Reverend Larry Graybill will be officiating. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
