Betty E. Edwards, 87, a resident of the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Roaring Spring and Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday morning, November 15, 2018, at the home.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late F. Eugene Sr. “Bean” and Evelyn Susanna (Loose) Biddle. On April 17, 1954, she married John M. Edwards at Royer United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1985.

Surviving are two daughters: Kathie L. McGeary (Tom) of Altoona and Linda K. Long (Leroy) of Roaring Spring; a son, Eugene E. Edwards of Altoona; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Patty A. Banks and Peggy S. Keith; five brothers: Frederick E., Rev. William R., Donald A., Ronald L., and Galen L.

She was preceded in death by a son, J. Randall Edwards; and a brother, Kenneth Biddle.

Betty attended Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg, and received her GED from Altoona Area High School.

She attended Altoona Bible Church and was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed embroidering, sewing, and reading, especially her Bible.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 pm, Sunday, November 18, 2018, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, and from 10 until the 11 am funeral service, Monday, November 19, 2018, at the Altoona Bible Church, Pastor Stewart McClelland officiating. Private interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
