Betty Jane Poole, 85, rural Williamsburg, passed away Sunday evening, May 20, 2018 at AristaCare at Huntingdon.

She was born in Clappertown, rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late John William and Dorothy Jane (Kelly) Teeters.  On May 10, 1961 she married Edward L. Poole in Cumberland, MD and he preceded her in death on March 28, 1995.

Surviving are a foster-son, Henry M. Koch of Hollidaysburg; and a sister-in-law, H. Helen Teeters of rural Williamsburg.

Betty Jane was preceded in death by a brother, Harold F. Teeters.

She was a 1952 graduate of Williamsburg High School and formerly attended the Williamsburg Christian & Missionary Alliance Church and the Eight Square Chapel Church, rural Williamsburg.

Betty Jane worked for 9 years as the manager of the concession stand at Canoe Creek State Park and then retired from Martin General Store, Williamsburg after many years of service.

She enjoyed sewing, fishing and being in the outdoors.

Friends will be received from 6-8pm, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.  A private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions in memory of Betty Jane be given to the American Cancer Society, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
