Beverly Ann Vaughn, 88, of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday evening, April 27, 2023 in Altoona.

She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Margaret K. (Renwick) Vaughn.

Surviving are a sister, Sandy Martin; nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved cat, Cookie.

Beverly was preceded in death by two sisters: Patricia Gates and Sarah J. Frye.

She was a 1951 graduate of Williamsburg High School.  Beverly earned a registered nursing degree from Philadelphia General Hospital and later completed her nurse anesthetist training in New Orleans.

Beverly loved playing sports, especially basketball and also enjoyed playing bingo and her travels across the United States.  She was a kind person, who always held a special place in her heart for all animals.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public services.  Private inurnment will be held at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
