Brian D. McClure, 48, Cresson, formerly of Martinsburg, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday evening at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Indiana County, son of Donald W. and Connie M. (Eichelberger) McClure of Martinsburg.

Surviving are his parents; a grandmother, Ruth Eichelberger of Martinsburg; a sister, Deb Marston (Keith) of Stuarts Draft, VA; a brother, Kevin McClure (Diana) of Harleysville; and nephews and nieces: Matthew and Marissa Marston, and Aidan, Lauren and Katie McClure.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clair Eichelberger; and grandparents, Floyd and Elsie McClure.

Brian was a member of Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg and a 1986 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg.

He had formerly been employed as a police officer for the borough of Martinsburg, an EMT for Roaring Spring Ambulance Service and at the Seton Company, Saxton.

He was a former member of Boy Scout Troop 58, Martinsburg and attained the rank of Eagle Scout.  Brian loved writing and also enjoyed radio announcing, which he did at various radio stations.

Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 pm, celebration of life service, Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, Pastor Joel F. Nogle officiating.  Private inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Memorial Church of the Brethren, 210 N. Wall Street, Martinsburg, PA  16662.

Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
