Brian Michael Bleicher

Brian Michael Bleicher 65, of Woodbury, formerly of Newry, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Conemaugh Nason Hospital.   He was born in Altoona a son of the late Francis Gordon and Mary Jean (Hoover) Bleicher.  On August 22, 2023 in Woodbury, he married his beloved wife Keli-anne (Polinski) Bleicher.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: Michele M. Bleicher Jacobs and husband John, of Saxton, and Brian M. Bleicher Jr. and partner Andrew Dobson, of Simpsonville, SC; six step-grandchildren; sister Sylvia Jean Bleicher Olfiesh widow of Elias, and Gordon Francis Bleicher and wife Kathy; a brother-in-law Thomas Matthews, and his loyal Poodle companion Lance.  He was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Matthews.

Brian was a 1978 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School, and was a part of the football, golf, and track and field teams.  Brian was a member of the Blair Rock and Mineral Club, and enjoyed golfing, and fishing. Brian attended St. Patrick Catholic Church, Faith United Methodist Church, and most recently, Healing Waters Church of God in Woodbury.

Funeral mass will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 704 Patrick Lane, Newry, with Fr. Allen P. Zeth Celebrant.  Interment will be private.  Arrangements by the Fink & Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc, Woodbury.
