Calvin Lee Zook

Martinsburg

     Calvin Lee Zook 72, of Martinsburg, passed away Friday, January 9, 2025 at his home. He was born in Roaring Spring a son of the late Lloyd and Esther (Boyd) Zook. On October 10, 1981 at the Williamsburg Church of the Brethren he married Deborah J. (Devlin) Zook who preceded him in death on November 19, 2018. On January 11, 2020 he married Barbara (Hiteshew) Kahley who survives along with his son Scott Zook and wife Wendy, of New Market, MD and their children Zachary and Addison; and a step-son Matthew Kahley and wife Erin, of Moyock, NC and their children: Brady, Regan, and Rowan.

     Calvin graduated from Central High School in 1971, and the Pennsylvania State University in 1975 with a degree in accounting. He began his banking career at Mid-State Bank, now M&T Bank, and retired from First National Bank in Martinsburg in 2016. After his retirement, he served as volunteer at The Village at Morrison’s Cove and provided care for his wife and mother. Calvin was an active member of the Memorial Church of the Brethren. He was a past treasurer, board member, and deacon. Calvin was active in the Martinsburg Booster Assoc. and the Garver YMCA for many years. Calvin enjoyed golfing, watching sporting events, and spending time with his family.

     A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Memorial Church of the Brethren with Eric Martin officiating. Private interment at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Calvin’s name to: Deacon Fund at Memorial Church of the Brethren, 210 N. Wall St., Martinsburg, PA 16662; or Morrison’s Cove Memorial Park, 201 S. Walnut St., Martinsburg, PA 16662.
