Carol D. Hagerty, 53, Fredericksburg, rural Martinsburg, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday afternoon at Donahoe Manor, Bedford, following a courageous fight with cancer.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of Charles O. “Ted” and Kathryn G. (Holland) Baughman.  Her father preceded her in death on August 3, 2013.  She married Chet A. Hagerty in 2004 in Roaring Spring.

Surviving are her mother, of Fredericksburg; husband, Chet; a son Zeth A. at home; a sister, Carmen B. Bilek (husband, Ken) of Hollidaysburg; and a nephew, Jonathan Bilek.

Carol was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rachel.

She was a 1980 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg and a member of Faith Assembly of God Church, Roaring Spring.

Carol was employed at Appvion Inc., Roaring Spring (formerly Appleton Papers Inc.) with over 20 years of service.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her son Zeth, and also enjoyed spending time at the beach and outdoors.  Carol had a very strong faith

and always encouraged others in their faith.

Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Friday, December 11, 2015 and from 10-until the 11 am, funeral service, Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Faith Assembly of God Church, Roaring Spring, Pastor Jeremiah A. Baker officiating.  Private interment will be held at Brumbaugh Cemetery, rural Martinsburg.

The family prefers memorial contributions be given to her church.
