Carol Jane (Farringer) George, 67, Hollidaysburg formerly of Williamsburg passed away Monday morning at UPMC Altoona.

She was born daughter of the late Charles William “Bill” and Vivian (Barr) Farringer.  Carol was formerly married to Raymond Leroy George.

Surviving are 4 brothers: Bill Farringer of Hollidaysburg, Tom Farringer of Fort Washington, MD, Jim Farringer (Sally) of Winchester, VA and Doug Farringer (TeaJay Aikey) of Mifflinburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was a 1967 graduate of Williamsburg High School.  She also received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Social Studies from Nyack College, NY and her Master’s Degree in Education from Pepperdine University, Malibu, CA.

Following college she served in U.S. Marine Corps where she was stationed at Camp Smith in Hawaii.  Carol had also been employed as a Washington D.C. Capital police officer and worked as a security officer at a U.S. nuclear facility in the Pacific.

Carol’s life verse was Romans 8:28; "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

There will be no public services and a private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.  Contributions may be made in Carol's memory to: The American Rescue Mission, 811 Scotch Valley Rd., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.

Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
