Catherine R. Dittmar

Catherine R. Dittmar, 95, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Loysburg, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Maplewood at Bethany Village – Mechanicsburg. She was born on November 3, 1930 in Loysburg; daughter of the late John and Agnes (Roberts) Dittmar.

Catherine worked many years for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and was a member of the St. John’s Reformed Church – Loysburg. She enjoyed golf, walking, puzzles, and traveling. Catherine was a member of the Robert Burns Scottish Society and Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by siblings, John, James, and Betty. Surviving is her sister, Winifred Eichelberger of Sharpsville, PA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 2:00PM at the Lower Loysburg Cemetery, adjacent to St. John’s Reformed Church; Rev. David Eichelberger officiating.

If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Catherine’s name may be made to the Loysburg Cemetery Association (C/O Yvonne Bowser / 7285 King Saint Clair Rd. Alum Bank, PA 15521).
