Charles W. Clapper, 59, of New Enterprise, passed away on August 22, 2017. Born on June 25, 1958 in Lancaster, the son of the late Jesse and Mary (Hoover) Clapper. He was united in marriage with Robin L. (Smith) Clapper, who survives. Charles worked for Wineland’s in Martinsburg and was a self-employed farmer. He enjoyed anything John Deere, working on and collecting old farm equipment, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member and officer of the Southern Cove Power Reunion as well as a member of the Koontz Church of the Brethren. He was preceded in death by an infant son Kevin Lee and an infant grandson Addison Matthew. Surviving is his wife Robin; daughters Elizabeth Clapper and Jennifer Clouse of New Enterprise and Michelle Paugh of Salem, WV; son Keith W. Clapper of New Enterprise; grandchildren, Zachary Noah, Rachel Elizabeth, and Justine Raelyn; brothers John R. Clapper, Herbert J. Clapper and James R. Clapper of New Enterprise; and sisters Lois Wertz of Woodbury and Melanie Clapper of Roaring Spring. Friends will be received on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM and Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. At 11:00AM, Saturday a funeral service will be held with Pastors Mike Benner and Dave Ulm officiating. All of the above will be held at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Interment at Koontz Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Charles’s name may be made to the family to help with final expenses. Arrangements by Weaver Funeral Home, LLC; Woodbury.
