Charlotte P. Malloy

Charlotte P. Malloy, 95, a resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Levittown, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Homewood.

She was born in Kennett Square, Chester County, daughter of the late Chester and Iowa (Ford) Pennock.  On August 5, 1950 she married Joseph F. Malloy in Pottstown.  He preceded her in death on January 10, 2009 following 58 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters: Penny Greene of Altoona and Catherine Latini of Hollidaysburg; four grandchildren: Cecelia McNaughton, Kristen Grove, Matthew Latini (Carol) and Melissa Latini; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tricia Latini; and a sister, Eleanor Himes.

Charlotte was a 1946 graduate of Caernarvon Township High School, Morgantown and in 1950 received her Bachelor of Science Degree in education from East Stroudsburg State Teachers College.

She taught Kindergarten for 20 years at the Pennsbury School District in Bucks County.  Charlotte was a faithful believer with the Religious Society of Friends, which was deeply rooted in Quaker beliefs and traditions.  She also attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Roaring Spring, with her husband, Joseph for many years.

Charlotte loved contributing to the Homewood Newsletter and writing children’s stories.  She also enjoyed traveling and solving crossword puzzles.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public services.  Private inurnment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
