Chester "Chet" R. Erb

Chester R. Erb, “Chet”, 85, of Roaring Spring, passed away on December 11, 2015 at UPMC Altoona. Born on February 4, 1930 in Woodbury Township, the son of George A. and Eva (Replogle) Erb. On January 23, 1948 in Roaring Spring, he married Meredith A. Imler. Chet was a dairy farmer for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp in Potter County, traveling, and music.  He was a past member of the NBC School Board, The Bedford County Planning Commission, and was a director and treasure for the Dry Hill Cemetery Association. Chet attended the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. Survivors include his wife Meredith; daughter Linda Killian of Pebble Beach, CA; son George Erb of Roaring Spring, PA; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home in Woodbury. On Tuesday, December 15, 2015 visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren. At 11:00AM a service will take place with Pastor David Ulm officiating. Interment will be at Dry Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Chester’s honor to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury Pennsylvania.
