Chester Paul Gochnour

Chester Paul Gochnour, 87, of Martinsburg, passed away on January 12, 2025 at his home. He was born on January 28, 1937 in Roaring Spring; son of the late Chester and Gladys (Steele) Gochnour. On October 22, 1958 in Hollywood, Maryland, he was united in marriage to Marilyn A. (Walsh) Gochnour, who survives.

Paul was a graduate of Replogle High School and served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He enlisted on July 27, 1955, served 8 total years, and obtained the rank of Yeoman Third Class. Paul retired as an equipment operator for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company. He LOVED his Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ!

Paul was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Gochnour; a sister, Jane Gearhart; and a brother, Fay Gochnour. Surviving is his wife, Marilyn; son, Daniel Gochnour (Carol); son, Stephen Gochnour; daughter, Tammy Hess (Tony); daughter, Cynthia Cook; son, Matthew Gochnour; daughter, Paulette Iskos (Billy); siblings, Bill Zook, James Gochnour, and Janet Hoover; as well as 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00AM at the Albright Church of the Brethren Fellowship Hall. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery, Hopewell Township.
