Christine A. (Carbaugh) Over

Christine A. (Carbaugh) Over, 74, of Martinsburg, passed away on April 29, 2023 at Homewood in Martinsburg. She was born on August 11, 1948 in Huntingdon; daughter of the late Robert and Margaret “Peg” (Manspeaker) Carbaugh. On March 29, 1969 at the Raven Run Church of the Brethren, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Over, Sr., who survives.

Christine was a Class of 1966 graduate of Northern Bedford High School. She attended the Altoona Beauty School, obtaining licensing for operating and teaching. Christine worked at her family-owned restaurant, Happy Hollow Restaurant in Saxton as Manager and Waitress. She was a member of the Woodbury Church of the Brethren.

Christine enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening and flowers, cooking and baking, and helping others. She LOVED her pets!

Christine was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Amy Jo Over. Surviving is husband, Robert E. Over, Sr.; daughter, Lou Ann Over (Jeremy) of Martinsburg; son, Robert E. Over, Jr. (Tracey) of Duncannon; 5 grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Dillon, Courtney, and Michael; 7 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Lilly, Owen, Rhea, Oran, Addilee, and Preston; and sisters, Cathy Detwiler and Debra Stepisianos.

Friends will be received on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 10:00AM until the 12:00PM Funeral Service at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren; Pastor David Ulm will be officiating. Interment will be in Dry Hill Cemetery.
