Clair Thomas “Tom” Ross Sr.
April 18, 1952 ~ April 7, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clair Thomas Ross Sr., 72, of Williamsburg, on Monday evening at Mount Nittany Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Altoona, son of Charlotte P. (Snare) and the late Clair H. Ross. On October 7, 1972 he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Davida A. Wyland at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Williamsburg, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years.
Surviving are his loving wife, Davida; their two wonderful sons: Clair “Tom” Jr. (Missy) and Timothy D. (Jen) both of Williamsburg; four amazing grandchildren: Brandon, Nathan, Katie and Bradley Ross; his mother of Altoona; two brothers: Allen “Moe” and Terry; a special niece, Amy; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherena; and an infant brother.
Tom was a graduate of Williamsburg High School, Williamsport Area Community College and Altoona Vo-Tech. He was owner/operator of Clair T. Ross and Sons Home Building and Remodeling for 40 years and recently worked at Cenveo in Williamsburg.
He loved spending time with his family, working alongside his sons and attending events for his sons and grandchildren over the years, including: basketball, football, band, racing and dance recitals. Christmas was his favorite holiday, he enjoyed decorating every room, shopping and wrapping gifts for everyone. Tom also enjoyed hunting, gardening, Penn State Football, all types of racing-legal and not so legal. He was an avid collector of many items-some may even say a borderline hoarder.
If you ever asked Tom how he was doing, he would smile at you and answer grouchy as ever.
Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Friday, April 11, 2025 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg and from noon until 1pm, Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the funeral home, where a funeral service will begin at 1pm, Pastor Suzanne Morelli officiating.
