Cyril "Pete" J. Wolfhope

Cyril “Pete” J. Wolfhope, 78, of Bedford, passed away on April 12, 2018 at UPMC Bedford Memorial. He was born on February 18, 1940 in Juanita Twp., son of the late Clement E. and Cecelia R. (Martin) Wolfhope. On June 26, 1965 he married Marjorie A. Zubrod at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford. Pete was a 1958 graduate of Chestnut Ridge and worked as a machinist at Kennametal for 43 years. He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church where he served as an usher and helped with church activities. Pete enjoyed hunting, woodworking, Ford NASCAR Racing, chicken picnics, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dog Bo. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Lena Roberts, Mary Potts, Rita Nave, Rose Wilson, and Anna Easter; and a brother Bill Wolfhope. Surviving are his wife Marjorie; daughters Melinda Stone (Jim) of Clearville and Brenda Claycomb (Lee) of Everett; son Kenneth Wolfhope (Tammy) of Bedford; grandchildren Kevin Claycomb (Olivia), Thomas Stone (Jessica), Eric Claycomb (Ashley), and Emily, Ben, and Adam Wolfhope; great-grandchildren Jackson and Emelia Claycomb with another one on the way; brother John Wolfhope (Esther); brothers-in-law George “Skip” Zubrod (Karen) and Clay Easter; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 17th from 5:00-8:00PM at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. At 10:00AM Wednesday, a Funeral Mass will take place with Father Derek Fairman officiating at the St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Everett. Interment will be at Bedford Memorial Park.
