Dale W. Ray, 61, of rural Williamsburg, went home to be with his Lord, Monday morning, July 31, 2023 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

He was born in Goldsboro, NC, son of the late George William and Nancy Viola (Over) Ray.  On July 17, 1982 he married Jane L. Spencer in Altoona.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Jane of 41 years; two daughters: Tisha M. Ray of Williamsburg and Megan N. Raichle (Jordan) of Altoona; four grandchildren: Kayla R. Delozier, Bridget L. Delozier, Sophie M. Raichle and Jonah R. Raichle; and three siblings: Eugene A. Ray (Donna) of Rochester, MA, Susan L. O’Shea (Michael) of Halifax, VA and Brian G. Ray (Patty) of Windber.

Dale was a 1979 graduate of Williamsburg High School.  He grew up helping his father on their family dairy farm, which he later took over and assumed the daily operation until 1996. Dale then started his career driving a delivery truck for Scott Electric, Duncansville, where he was still currently employed. In 1998, Dale, began SunRay Enterprise, which sold and serviced Dish Network, that he operated for many years.

He was an active, faithful member of Fairview Church of the Brethren in rural Williamsburg, where he served as a board member and a deacon.  Dale loved spending time with his family and also riding his motorcycle, with his wife, Jane and their friends.

Visitation will be from 10 am until noon, Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Fairview Church of the Brethren, rural Williamsburg, where a celebration of life service will begin at noon at the church, Pastor Alan Brumbaugh officiating.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
