Daniel B. Hoffman "Tucker"

Daniel B. Hoffman “Tucker”, 94, of New Enterprise, passed away on May 7, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 30, 1924 in New Enterprise RD; son of the late Daniel B. Sr. and Eliza (Dooley) Hoffman. On February 28, 1948 in Cumberland, MD he was united in marriage with Shirley A. (Fluke) Hoffman. She preceded him in death on December 16, 2004. Tucker served his country in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren and drove truck for New Enterprise Stone and Lime for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; grandson Ryan Hoffman; as well as 3 sisters. Surviving are daughter Pamela Brallier (Daniel) of Harrisburg; son Richard A. Hoffman (Rita) of Mechanicsburg; as well as 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Saturday May 11, 2019 from 10:00-11:00AM. At 11:00AM a funeral service will take place with Rev. Marlys Hershberger officiating.  All of the above will be held at the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren. If so desired, Memorial Contributions in Daniel’s name can be made to the Southern Cove Volunteer Fire Company or the Southern Cove EMS.
