Daniel A. Wyland Sr., 55, Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday afternoon at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late David Benjamin “Ben” and Carrol A. (Dively) Wyland. On May 16, 1998 he married Edith M. Simmons at Canoe Creek Brethren in Christ Church.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 18 years; a son, Daniel A. Jr. at home; 3 sisters: Davida A. Ross (Tom), Donna M. Wyland and Denise M. Allender (Jeff) all of Williamsburg; 3 brothers: David B. (Crystal) of Williamsburg, Daryl P. (Deb) of Duncansville and Duane M. of Las Vegas; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews; and his pet dog, Gunner
He was preceded in death by his two pet dogs: Tramp and Sam.
Daniel was a 1979 graduate of Williamsburg High School and was employed as a fork lift operator at General Cable, Altoona with 25 years of service.
He loved spending time in the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Friday, January 27, 2017 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the funeral home, Pastor Lee D. Saylor officiating. Interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
