Together they traveled the world, building a home and family across multiple Air Force Bases. Their journey took them to Langley AFB, VA, where their daughter, Sonya was born; Incirlik AFB, Turkey, where they welcomed Michelle; Yokota AFB, Japan, where Deb was born; Myrtle Beach AFB, SC, where they added Joey to the family; and finally McGuire AFB, NJ, before settling back into civilian life in Williamsburg.
Darlene was a 1962 graduate of Williamsburg High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Williamsburg and also served as Girl Scout Leader for her daughters. Darlene was employed part-time as a secretary at the Mary Ann Stubbs Nationwide Insurance office in Williamsburg for 20 years.
She loved spending time with her family and watching Williamsburg Blue Pirate sporting events. Darlene also enjoyed quilting and flower gardening.
