David S. Nolt, 77, of Cross Cove Road, Martinsburg passed away on October 21, 2018 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. He was born on April 25, 1941 in New Holland, son of the late Jonas and Lizzie (Shirk) Nolt. On October 25, 1962 in Lancaster County he married Mary Z. (Garman) Nolt. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2016. He was a member and served as Deacon of the Martinsburg Old Order Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference). David was a farmer for many years and owner of Nolt’s Bargain Barn. He was preceded in death by his wife, an infant son, two infant daughters, brother John Nolt, and son-in-law Aden Zimmerman. Surviving are five daughters, Brenda Zimmerman and husband Paul of Versaillies MO, Lorraine Zimmerman and her late husband Aden of Woodbury, Jane Martin and husband Wilmer of Fenwick MI, Marie Martin and husband Carl of Crystal MI, and Pauline Stauffer and husband Kenneth of Withee WI; two sons, Gerald Nolt of Martinsburg and Leonard Nolt and wife Ruthann of Williamsburg; five sisters, Anna Shirk and husband Ivan of Lancaster Co., Esther Weaver and her late husband Lloyd of Lancaster Co., Elizabeth Weaver and husband Aaron of Lancaster Co., Vera Martin and husband Aaron of Lancaster Co., and Alta Nolt of Lancaster Co.; two brothers, Leroy Nolt and his late wife Laura of MO and Jonas Nolt and wife Jane of Lancaster Co.; as well as 39 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at his home in Martinsburg. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 9:30AM at the Martinsburg Old Order Church. Interment will be at the Church Cemetery.
