Dawn Eleanor Locher-Snare

Dawn Eleanor Locher-Snare, 88, of Williamsburg and currently a resident of Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday evening, April 17, 2022 at the home.

She was born in Woodbury Township, rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late George S. and Ethel L. (Everhart) Haney.  On December 31, 1953 she married Kenneth R. Locher, who preceded her in death on June 27, 1962. Then on August 13, 1965 she married Kenneth W. Snare, who passed away on July 17, 2000 following 34 years of marriage.

Surviving are six sons: Jeffrey W. Snare (Donna), Kenny Dale Locher, Richard H. Locher (Lisa), Roger W. Locher, Corey A. Snare and Eric J. Snare (Jessica); two daughters: Tammy L. Diller (Jerry) and Rosemary F. Flaig (Robert); 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sandra K. Norton.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Virginia Locher; five sisters: Audrey L. Miller, Anna M. Miller, Elizabeth L. Miller, Rosamond Haney and June Wilson; and two brothers: Neil Haney and G. Clifford Haney.

Dawn was a 1951 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a member of the Williamsburg Independent Bible Baptist Church.

She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, reading and flower gardening.

Friends will be received from 6-8pm, Friday, April 22, 2022 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg and from 10 until the 11am funeral service, Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the funeral home, Pastor Joseph Weber officiating.  Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Memorial contributions in memory of Dawn may be given to Williamsburg Independent Bible Baptist Church, 1181 Lower Clover Creek Rd., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
