Dr. Dean S. "Steve" Wakefield

Dr. Dean S. “Steve” Wakefield, 64, of Saxton, passed away on January 25, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. He was born on September 29, 1954 in Fort Bragg, NC; son of Joseph E. who is deceased and Jean (Snyder) Wakefield who survives. On September 25, 1976 at the Loysburg Church of Christ, he married Janice L. Miller. Steve was a member of the Oasis of Love Church in Saxton. He enjoyed spending time with his family, church, hunting, electronics, and dabbling with inventions. Steve owned and had a passion for his business, Wakefield Energy Solutions. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph. Surviving are his wife Janice; mother Jean; son Joshua Wakefield and wife Dana of Saxton; daughter Crystal Stetchock and husband Brad of Cassville; grandchildren Riley and Patrick Wakefield and Daniel and Nathaniel Stetchock; sister Jane England and husband George of Everett; brother Tim Wakefield of Loysburg; and friend and business partner Mike Miller. Friends will be received on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 9:00-11:00AM.  At 11:00AM Tuesday, a Funeral Service will be held with Pastor Kathy Speck officiating.
