Delford Charles Turner, 79, a resident of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home and formerly of Bedford, died Friday morning, May 22, 2026, at the home. He was born on September 17, 1946 in Johnstown, a son of the late Charles A. and Beatrice E. (Wilson) Turner. He is survived by a son, Christopher D. (wife Amanda) of Bedford; three grandchildren: Macie, Kolby, and Carson; and three siblings: James in Florida, Pamela Bortel of Ebensburg, and Constance Bivens of Johnstown.
Del was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford; American Legion Post #113, Bedford; and the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. He was a 1964 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and a 1970 graduate of Penn State University with an associates degree in agricutural management, and was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Del was the manager of several local Agway stores and retired from Gateway Travel Plaza in Breezewood. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling in his earlier years.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Bartholomew’s Cemetery, Wilmore.
