Della Mae (Detwiler) Grubb, 87, of New Enterprise, passed away on September 26, 2025 at her home on the family farm. She was kind and strong in many ways. She loved caring for her family and showing her love by cooking, baking, sewing, knitting and crocheting.

She was born on October 2, 1937. Daughter of the late Merle and Elda (Replogle) Detwiler. Della Mae was a graduate of Replogle High School, Class of 1955 and Elizabethtown College, Class of 1957. In July 1957, she was united in marriage to Ray E. Grubb at the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren.

Della Mae worked for Detwilers Dairy, Detwilers Communication, and the family farm. She was co-owner of Hearts Desire Gift Shop. She had the gift of hospitality and loved providing good food for family and friends. She loved traveling with her husband and especially enjoyed tractor rides.

She was a pianist at the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren, as well as served on the church board and many committees throughout her time there. She loved spending time in the Word and sharing about God's faithfulness throughout her life.

Surviving are her husband, Ray; three children, Kevin Grubb (Pam), Krista Walters (Tim Kelly), and Karolyn Mundy (Chris); seven grandchildren, Cale Grubb, Jessica Grubb, Michael Walters, Maria Bolger, Jenna Claycomb (Parker), Kasey Williams (Brock), Preston Mundy (Allie); six great-grandchildren, Jenna Bolger, Alec Bolger, Chauncey Mundy, Wes Mundy, Lane Claycomb, Emery Williams; brother, Allen M. Although Alzheimer's stole her memories in the last years of her life, she still showed love and kindness in her eyes, and her occasional smile always warmed our hearts.

The family would like to thank Jamie Decker, Julie Chappell, Bonnie Dick, as well as other caretakers and Gentiva Hospice for their amazing care and love that they showed during Della Mae's last years of her life.
