Delores J. “Sue” Morvan, 81, Altoona, formerly Martinsburg and Bedford, OH, passed away Wednesday morning, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care following an extended illness.

She was born in Roaring Spring, the daughter of Leonard C. and Nellie M. (Shoenfelt) Rhodes. She married Harry P. Morvan, on December 25, 1952 in Martinsburg. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Dale L. Morvan of Bedford, OH; a grandson, Jason N. Morvan of Macedonia, OH; daughter-in- law, Mary P. Morvan of Bedford, OH; and two brothers: Barry L. “Butch” of rural Martinsburg, and Donald R. of Bedford.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Orville L., Thomas L., Edward B., and James W.; and a sister, Lois Cline.

Delores was a 1952 graduate of Morrison Cove High School, Martinsburg and was a member of the Port Clinton, OH Moose Lodge #1610. She was primarily a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family, summers at her condo at Lake Erie, and also enjoyed flower gardening, and was an avid reader.

Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 pm, memorial service, Friday, May 27, 2016 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, Pastor Joel F. Nogle officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
