Dennis H. Carper

Dennis H. Carper, 76, of Williamsburg, passed away Monday evening, January 27, 2025 at the Brighton Rehab & Wellness Center, Beaver.
He was born in Spruce Creek, Huntingdon County, son of the late John T. and Phyllis J. (Foster) Carper. On July 18, 1970 he married Barbara A. Lang at the Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Barbara of 54 years; three sons: Keith A. Carper (Kelly), Troy M. Carper (Linda) and Darrin W. Carper (Emily) all of Williamsburg; seven grandchildren: Tabitha Stiffler (Tyler), Brock Clowson (Cedric), Joseph Carper (Shannon), Chase Nicholas Carper, Mackenzie Carper, Camilla Carper and Gianna Carper; three great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Emilia and Jones; a sister, Lola Keith (Warren); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Joseph A. “Jac” Carper II; and 8 siblings: Yvonne Carper, Philip “Skip” Carper, Adeline Grubb, Erma Ticconi, Patti Delancey, Shirley Brown, John Carper and Robert “Jack” Carper.
Denny was a 1966 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1966-1968, attaining the rank of FM (Fireman).
He worked as a machine operator at Fonda Group Inc., Williamsburg until it’s closing in 2005 and later retired in 2008 from Mead-Westvaco in Alexandria.
Denny was a lifetime member of the Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg. He was also a proud member of the Tyrone Volunteer Fire Department (The Hookies).
He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Denny also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball and riding his motorcycle.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date and arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
