Dennis J. Popovich

Dennis J. Popovich, 69, of Altoona, passed away on November 8, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1954 in McKeesport; son of the late John and Rita (Kostelnik) Popovich.

After graduating high school, Dennis worked as a pipe fitter for US Steel Mill. Later, he worked many years as an over the road truck driver for Smith Transport and Schneider National. He enjoyed gardening, working in the garage, feeding the birds, and his dogs and cats. Dennis was a member of the VFW.

Surviving is sons, Christopher, Keith, and Marlon Popovich; sisters, Donna Smeltzer and Anita Basa; brother, Robert Popovich; and grandchildren.

At request of the deceased, no services will be held.
