Diana L. Hetrick, 62, Williamsburg, passed away Thursday afternoon at her home following a prolonged battle with cancer.

She was born in Sunbury, daughter of Patricia (Lear) Yeager and the late William Yeager.  On January 27, 1979 she married E.C. “Bud” Hetrick at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.

Surviving are her mother, Patricia of Martinsburg; beloved husband, Bud of 38 years; a daughter, Jessica Hipp, husband, R. Bartholomew of Raleigh, NC; a grandson, Ruxin Hipp of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Gay Gorsuch; and a brother, Clay Yeager both of Williamsburg.

Diana was a 1972 graduate of Williamsburg High School and received her medical secretary degree from the Altoona School of Commerce.  She worked as a medical secretary at a number of medical practices in the region, most recently at the Williamsburg Family Practice.  Diana was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.

She loved spending time with her grandson, reading and enjoying nature around her home with her dog, Bogey.  Diana was always a smiling face and helping hand for patients who visited her workplace, and forged close friendships with a number of them.

Friends will be received from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm, Sunday, April 9, 2017 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.  A graveside service for close friends and family will be held at 11am Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
