Diana (Richers) Monnikendam

Diana (Richers) Monnikendam, 77, of Somerset, formerly of Altoona, passed away on September 13, 2025 at Somerset Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born on October 23, 1947 in Altoona; daughter of the late Robert and Patricia (Stoltz) Richers. On August 7, 1976 in Winchester, Virginia, she was united in marriage to John Monnikendam; he preceded her in death on December 9, 2018.

Diana was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle Academy and the Altoona School of Commerce. She grew up attending Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church – Altoona. Diana was a member of the Tuckahoe Valley Militia and the Riggles Gap Sportsmen’s Club. She enjoyed fishing and crocheting.

Diana was preceded in death by her husband, John and a sister, Catherine McCusker. Surviving is daughter, Maria Dennis (Brady) of Roaring Spring; granddaughter, Emily Dennis; grandson, Bryan Dennis; siblings, Marilyn Cross, Robert Richers, Fran Winsor, Dave Richers, John Richers, and Monica Kelly; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

At request of the deceased, services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
