Diane L. Chilcote, 68, formerly of Altoona, died early Wednesday morning at Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center, Petersburg, W.Va. She was born in Pottsville, daughter of the late Donald K. and Marian J. (Weber) Chilcote.

Surviving are three children: Robert Michael Gaus and wife, Susan, of Clarksburg, W.Va., Kimberly M. Gaus of Hollidaysburg and Kelly L. Heavener of Point Marion; two granddaughters: Kaitlyn and Jacklyn; a sister, Donna C. Quatrara of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Debra A. Tongel.

Diane was a 1970 graduate of McGuffy High School in Washington County, PA and attended Altoona Bible Church.

She retired as a licensed practical nurse from The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg and also worked at the former Hillview Convalescent Center in Altoona.

Diane enjoyed reading in her spare time.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Interment will be made at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
