Donald Robert “Bob” Dunn

Donald Robert “Bob” Dunn, 89, of Altoona, went home to be with his Lord, Friday afternoon, October 7, 2022 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Donald H. and Erma (Shade) Dunn.  On May 21, 1955 he married B. Jeannette Dill in Altoona.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Jeannette of 67 years; two children: Steve (Sue) Dunn of Altoona and Mark (Cathy) Dunn of Bear, DE; a sister, Janie Beck of Altoona and her children: Alan Beck (Becky) and Julie Lamca (Chip); seven grandchildren: Chad Miller (Jessica), Scott Miller (Jess), Ashley Dunn, Adam Dunn, Aaron Dunn, Elisabeth Morrison (George) and Blair Dunn; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Miller and her husband, Jeff Miller.

Bob was a graduate of Altoona High School and DeVry Technical School in Chicago.   He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, attaining the rank of Corporal. Bob retired from Penelec with over 20 years of service.

He was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, Altoona, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher and for the past 20 years was a member and Sunday school teacher at the Foot of Ten Baptist Church, Duncansville.

Bob loved serving the Lord and spending time with his family.  He was a true prayer warrior, who devoted time each day to pray for his family.

At the request of the deceased all services will be private and interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Precious Life, 1716 12th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601.
