     Donald E. “Loppy” Fisher Jr. 71, of Saxton, went to be with his heavenly family on July 13, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on March 24, 1955 in Baltimore, MD a son of the late Donald E. and Myrtle (Stapleton) Fisher Sr. Donald passed peacefully in his home that he shared with his lifelong companion, Bonnie Childers.

     He is survived by a sister Linda Fisher and Pam Weitzel, both of Saxton; aunt Shirley Snyder, of Bear, DE; special niece Jamie Lewis, who helped take care of Donald in his final days, niece Lisa Donelson, nephew Todd Donelson, great-niece Makeisha Lewis, great-nephews Shad Donelson, Tyson Swope, Tanner Swope, and Chase Donelson; step-children: Megan Lynn and husband Tyler, of Hopewell, Curtis Donaldson and wife KD, of Titusville, and David Donaldson and wife Tisha, of Hopewell; and grandkids Karlie and Urban Lynn, Gavin, Andrew, and Ella Donaldson, and Alexis and Connor Donaldson. He was preceded in death by his loving grandmother Edith Stapleton, sister Barb Donelson, special great-nephew Seth Marlin, and nephew-in-law Buck Lewis.

     Donald was a friend to anyone that knew him. He was a loving and caring man that would give anyone the shirt off his back, or offer them a meal. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Donald’s many friends and neighbors during this difficult time. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
