Donald Clayton Irvin, 90, of Williamsburg, died peacefully at home on January 5, 2026.
He was born in Williamsburg, last child to Jesse and Lillie (Park) Irvin. Don was a 1953 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He worked for many years and retired from Small Tube Products in Duncansville.
Don was a lifelong faithful member of First Methodist Church of Williamsburg, where he married the love of his life, Donna Jane Sollenberger, on April 28, 1957. She preceded him in death in 2022.
Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Steeler and Penn State football. Music was an important part of his life as well. He played mandolin in the Clover Creek String band, sang many solos as a long-time member of the First Methodist Church of Williamsburg choir, and, with Donna, was an active participant in Swinging Squares dancing group.
Surviving is a daughter, Cheri R. Smith (Mark) of Martinsburg; and two sons: Randall C. Irvin (Marybeth) of Pittsburgh, Douglas S. Irvin (Karen) of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren: Wade Smith (Jill), Nichole Dalton (Mark), Cassandra Rex (Chris), Elizabeth Irvin, Joshua Irvin and Lillie Irvin; four great-grandchildren: Emily, Ethan, Leah and Addie; sister-in-law Janet Sollenberger of Claysburg, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip D. Irvin.
Guests will be received from 2:00PM to 3:30PM Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the First Methodist Church of Williamsburg. A service will immediately follow at 3:30PM; Pastor Matt Roberts officiating.
Memorial Contributions in memory of Don may be given to the First Methodist Church of Williamsburg, 431 W. Second Street, Williamsburg, PA 16693.
