Donald B. Wagner, 65, of Roaring Spring, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, December 21, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Robert C. and Faye M. (Banks) Wagner.

Surviving are his soul-mate of 18 years, Patty L. Snyder; a son, Travis B. Wagner (Mindy) of Roaring Spring and their children, Dominic and Destiny; three step- children: Matthew Gorman (Brittany) of East Freedom and their children, Braydon and Bailee, Cody Snyder (Jennafer) of Duncansville and their children, Charlie and Shelby, and Ashley “Weezit” Avery of Roaring Spring and her children, Madison and Olivia; two brothers: John David Wagner of Brooks Mills and Kenneth W. Wagner of Richmond, VA; and his pet dog, Regin.

Don was a 1976 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg and also completed the Automobile Mechanic courses at the Altoona Vocational School.  In 1980, Don opened Wagner’s Garage in Newry and has owned and operated the garage for the past 43 years.

He was a member of the Martinsburg Sportsmen’s Club, Hollidaysburg Sportsman Club and Shenocoy Sportsman Club in Huntingdon.  Don was also a member of the Hollidaysburg Lodge #220 F.&A.M. and the Valley of Altoona Scottish Rite.

Don loved spending time with his family and also with his canine companions he had over the years.  He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and competing in various shooting sports.  Don competed in many Bird Dog Pheasant Competitions in both the U.S. and Canada and earned the title of “Gun Captain”.

Friends will be received from 1-7pm, Friday, December 29, 2023 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg and from 10am until 11am, Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the funeral home, where a service will begin at 11am.
