Donna Leedy (nee Kyler) passed away on December 23, 2017 in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina.  She was born and raised in Roaring Spring, the oldest daughter of Orville Kyler and LavinaHelsel.

In March of 1947, she married Floyd Collons Stevens and moved to Lock Haven, PA where he was attending college.  The couple eventually had four children and lived in Glen Mills, PA and Baltimore, MD as their family grew.  After Floyd passed away in 1989, Donna met and married Ronald Leedy of Roaring Spring and moved to Martinsburg with him in 1993.

Donna was employed by the Department of Social Services in Baltimore for many years and retired in 1993.  After her retirement, she became an avid quilter whose work is treasured by family and friends.  Anyone who knew Donna knows that she delighted in celebrating Christmas; it was her favorite time of the year.  She also loved being back in Morrison’s Cove after years away, and was fond of pointing out its beauty to visitors.  She spent her time reading, knitting, playing cards, and cooking.  She had an affinity for animals, especially her two Yorkshire terriers.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Baer and her husband, Robert, of Baltimore; and Debbie McPherson and her husband, Dave, of Pawley’s Island, SC.  Her older son, Steve, predeceased her in 2016.  Her youngest child, Randal Stevens, and his partner, Chuck Fultz, live in Sparks, MD.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jennifer Dombek and her husband Doug of Louisville, CO; Devon Fick of Baltimore, and Elaine MacDougall and her partner, Kevin Mick, of Westminster, MD.  There are also three great-grandchildren: Amanda and Mark Dombek, and Rowan Fick.  Donna is survived by her sister Nancy Davis of Fredericksburg, PA and sister-in-law Ruth Kyler of Martinsburg, PA.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at noon, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, Pastor Bradley Davis officiating.  Private inurnment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
