Dorcas M. Biddle, 77, Altoona, formerly of Tyrone, passed away Wednesday morning, December 21, 2022, at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Walter Edward and Elizabeth Pearl (Gorman) Stacey.  On October 19, 1962, she married Galen W. “Jack” Biddle in Williamsburg, and he preceded her in death on August 4, 1992.

Surviving are two daughters: Paula A. Morrissey (Dave) of Tyrone and Gale L. Biddle of Altoona; a son, Charles W. Biddle of State College; three grandchildren: Daniel Hart, Mathew Morrissey and Abigail Lynn Biddle; and three great-grandchildren: Skyla, Bella, and Gage Hart

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte M. Biddle; a granddaughter, Elizabeth “Lizzy” Anne Biddle; a daughter-in-law, Julie Biddle; a sister, Donna J. Hicks; and a brother, Daniel E. Stacey.

Dorcas attended Williamsburg High School and worked as a seamstress for Tritex in Altoona. She was also a loving homemaker who took great care of her family.

She enjoyed sewing, reading, and crocheting but most of all loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service officiated by Mr. Todd Lewis will be held at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. Private interment will be at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
