Doris J. Shriver, 85, of rural Martinsburg, passed away Friday evening, December 16, 2022 at Homewood at Martinsburg.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Joseph and Regina (Rutherford) Imler.  On October 10, 1955 she married Clayton E. Shriver in Kansas City, MO.  He preceded her in death on June 20, 2018, after 62 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah K. Shriver of rural Martinsburg; a son-in-law, Brad W. Logue of Woodbury; five grandchildren: Adam Shriver of rural Martinsburg, Onjoli L. Boyd, Nadia N. Steele (Matt) and Sophia L. Logue all of Woodbury and Joss M. Logue in Texas; four great-grandchildren: Paeden, Harper, Brynn and Lincoln; and three sisters: Annie Smouse, Judy Imler-Knisely and Maggie Stumpf.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda L. Logue; a great-grandson, Elijah William Steele; a brother, Herbert Imler; and a sister, Pam Omps.

Doris was a 1956 graduate of Woodbury High School and earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Penn State Altoona.

She worked as a registered nurse for a few years at the Altoona Hospital and later retired as the nursing supervisor from Health South in Altoona, with over 20 years of service.

Doris loved spending time with her family, being in the outdoors and her pet poodles.  She also enjoyed gardening, hunting, cutting firewood and tending to her orchard.

A private celebration of life service will be held at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
