Dorothy M. (Steele) Britton

Dorothy M. Britton, 83, of Woodbury, formerly of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on January 25, 2020 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. She was born on September 2, 1936 in Sherman Valley; daughter of the late William and Margaret (Warsing) Steele. Dorothy was united in marriage to William C. Britton in Portage; he preceded her in death on December 18, 2011. She was a real estate agent by trade and attended Christ Church in Roaring Spring. She enjoyed knitting, bowling, fishing, card games, gardening, and puzzles. Dorothy was a member of bowling leagues and card clubs in Martinsburg. She was preceded in death by her husband William; brothers William, Louie, and Gary; and a sister Linda. Surviving are daughter Kim Reese; son Bradley Snyder; brother Larry “Casey” Steele; bother Michael Steele; as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 3:00PM at Christ Church in Roaring Spring. Rev. Dr. Joel C. Kletzing will be officiating.
