Dorothy Marie Chamberlain, 84, Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord and her husband, Harvey, late Wednesday at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.

She was born in Ganister, rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Bryan) Rusich.  She married Harvey D. Chamberlain on August 14, 1951 in Winchester, VA.  Her beloved husband of 61 years passed away on May 2, 2013.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Carol M. Chamberlain-Ginter and Vicki J. Chamberlain (fiancé, Ed Kunsman) all of rural Williamsburg; 3 grandsons: Eddie and Joey Kunsman and Jesse Ginter (fiancée, Stephanie); 2 great grandsons: Alex and Maddox; and a sister, Mildred Frank (husband, Vincent) of Hollidaysburg.

She was preceded in death by 6 sisters: Rose Bazazian, Marie Gavin, Helen Spearly, Stephanie Bumgardner, Anna Rusich and infant Eva; and 5 brothers: Frank, Joseph, John, Victor and Lewis.

Dorothy was a 1948 graduate of Williamsburg High School.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg, where she was a member of the ladies guild and was a former member of the choir.

Dorothy was previously employed at the Washing Well Laundromat, Williamsburg and Leidy’s Greenhouse, rural Williamsburg.

She was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, word search puzzles, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.  Dorothy was also an avid Penn State and Steelers football fan.

Friends will be received from 3 to 6 pm, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be recited.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am, Monday, May 4, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg, Father Aron M. Maghsoudi officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Williamsburg.

The family prefers that memorial contributions be given to the Williamsburg Senior Center.
